Wildlife
Growing up, I spent a lot of time watching National Geographic and Animal Planet with my dad and brother. We used to love watching people like Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin travel the world teaching us about all the wonderful animals. I was always so fascinated watching the animals in their natural habitats doing what animals do.
My first portfolio included animal photographs I had taken at local zoos. The photos themselves were nothing too spectacular, but the composition was enough to impress the editor at the local newspaper and convince him to give me a shot. I worked at that newspaper in one capacity or another for over 7 years. So, in some sense, photographing animals has always been a part of my DNA as a photographer.
Below is a mix of captive animals as well as animals in their wild habitat. As I explore my passion for wildlife photography more deeply, I hope to capture all of these animals in their true natural habitats as well as many countless more.
