I live for the moments when all those little clichés make perfect sense.
For the entirety of my life, I’ve self-taught myself things that interested me. From aviation to archaeology, if I like it, I learned as much as I could about it. Photography was one of those self-teaching ventures. While I’m formally educated in many of my interests including aviation, archaeology, and photography, I really learned the most from the ventures I took on my own.
For photography, it all began when I started making my own pinhole cameras and developing my pictures in the darkroom. Through years of persistent experimentation and personal development, I built my personal style. I began taking classes in school and eventually got some staff photographer positions. After nearly six years as a photojournalist I basically fell in love with love and started shooting weddings. For me, nothing is more fulfilling than working with a couple who are deeply in love and truly belong together. I live for the moments when all those little clichés make perfect sense.
